A crabby old coot
And a grumpy old gal
And a dirty old dog
Who is their best pal

Live in a house
On top of a hill
In disrepair when they bought it
It needs repairs still

The sink is full
The cupboard is bare
The beds are unmade
But they don't care.

There's a TV set
In every room
A computer times two
But only one broom.

Tap tap goes the keyboard
Click click the remote
Scratch scratch goes the dog
As he sheds his coat.

The silence is broken
When the grandkids arrive
They burst through the door
And the house comes alive.

So full of energy
Laughter and love
Truly a Blessing
From God up above.
