Missing My Friend
I lost a part of me today ...
I don't think the pain will end.
The world is a lonelier place to be,
Without you in it, my friend.
The warmth that brought joy to all you met
The smile that lit up a room
The laughter that made everything seem all right
Have all been replaced ... silence ... gloom.
I won't say good bye, for we will meet again,
In my heart I know that is true.
For now, Rest in Peace, in God's loving arms
While I, my dear friend ... miss you.
