Jesus

The Good Shepherd

The Good Shepherd walked upon this land to lead us to Salvation
Guiding us out of Darkness … Into Light …
His Mission was to spread the Word … God promised Life Everlasting
He was preordained to teach us what is right.

His loving heart was saddened if a lamb strayed from his flock
His gentle eyes would search ‘til it was found.
For the ones who never went astray were not in need of saving,
They knew that He would always be around.
Believe in Me, He said one day, to those who gathered ‘round Him
Remember well the lessons when I leave
There are many mansions waiting … in My Father’s house,
For all who keep the Word … and … Believe.
There were some who feared his Message … and He was crucified
Upon a cross made from a Dogwood tree
Even through His suffering ... His Love would not be stilled
With His last breath He prayed for you and me.
Mourners wailed, the sky turned black, the infidels quaked in fear.
Fulfilling the prophecy written on a Holy Page.
In three days Our Savior reappeared … with this promise for the Faithful …
“I will be with you always, to the end of the age.”
